Antipsychotic Efficacy and Safety of LB-102 in the Treatment of Adults With Acute Schizophrenia

What is the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of LB-102, a novel D/D/5-HT receptor antagonist, in adults with acute schizophrenia?In this randomized clinical trial of 359 adults with acute schizophrenia, LB-102 50 mg and 75 mg were statistically superior to placebo on the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale total score change over 4 weeks, with greater improvements from baseline compared with placebo across all secondary end points. LB-102 was generally safe and well tolerated at all doses.Findings show that the clinically meaningful antipsychotic efficacy and generally favorable short-term safety of LB-102 informs continued clinical development of LB-102.
