Adrenarche Is Not Pubarche—Time to Stop Conflating Terms

This Viewpoint argues that conflating adrenarche with pubarche reflects imprecise terminology in pubertal research and clinical care, and that clearly distinguishing adrenarche, gonadarche, pubarche, and puberty based on underlying physiology would improve scientific understanding and pediatric practice.
