Factors Associated With Progression to Primary Angle Closure

Which baseline anterior segment parameters are associated with progression from primary angle closure suspect to primary angle closure?In a post hoc analysis of the Singapore Asymptomatic Narrow Angles–Laser Iridotomy Study (randomized clinical trial), a narrower anterior chamber angle, plateau iris in 1 or more quadrants, or higher baseline intraocular pressure was associated with progression from primary angle closure suspect to primary angle closure.These results suggest baseline anterior segment profiling could help identify primary angle closure suspect eyes at higher risk of progression to primary angle closure.
