Applicant Demographics and Multiple Mini Interview Performance at a Medical School Over 5 Years

Does medical school applicant performance on multiple mini interviews (MMI) vary by age, gender, race and ethnicity, and socioeconomic status?In this cohort study with 3447 applicants, gender, age, socioeconomic status, and race but not ethnicity were associated with differences in MMI performance. Disaggregation of key demographic groups revealed further differences in MMI performance.These findings suggest that understanding MMI performance may be more complex than reported by prior studies and is worthy of further study.
