Colorectal Cancer Screening and Health-Related Social Needs in a National Sample of US Adults

Is colorectal cancer screening uptake associated with health-related social needs among US adults, and do these associations differ by age group?In this cross-sectional study of 14 528 US adults eligible for colorectal cancer screening, unmet health-related social needs were associated with lower likelihood of being up to date with screening. The magnitude and direction of these associations varied across age groups.These findings suggest that addressing health-related social needs may be important for improving colorectal cancer screening uptake, particularly when considering age-specific differences.
