Knowledge, Attitudes, and Behaviors Toward Human Papillomavirus Vaccination Among Adults in Switzerland

What factors are associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination among Swiss adults aged 18 to 45 years?In this nationwide cross-sectional survey of 3847 adults, in addition to demographic differences in uptake, latent class analysis revealed 3 distinct HPV-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors (KAB) profiles associated with differing HPV vaccination status. Notably, lack of practitioner recommendation was the most commonly reported barrier to vaccination across profiles.Beyond demographic factors, tailoring communication and practitioner outreach strategies to distinct KAB profiles may help address remaining HPV vaccination coverage gaps.
