Is high-dose vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy associated with improved cognition among offspring? In this post hoc analysis of a randomized clinical trial including 498 children, high-dose vitamin D supplementation was associated with better verbal and visual memory and set shift at age 10 years compared with standard-dose vitamin D, although the association with flexibility or set shift did not remain significant after false discovery rate correction. This study suggests that high-dose vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy may be associated with improved cognitive functioning at age 10 years.
