Do adverse events after receipt of androgen deprivation therapy differ by race?In this cohort study of 790 916 patients with prostate cancer, androgen deprivation therapy was associated with significantly increased risks of cardiovascular events, bone fractures, osteoporosis, and composite events across all racial groups. Although excess risks differed slightly between Black and White patients, overall differences were small.Androgen deprivation therapy is associated with adverse cardiovascular and bone complications regardless of race, suggesting that current monitoring recommendations should not differ by race.
