Can a 10-week therapist-guided e-health intervention reduce the severity of fear of cancer recurrence, measured by the Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory (FCRI), in long-term colorectal cancer survivors 5 to 10 years postdiagnosis? In this randomized clinical trial including a nationwide Danish cohort of 95 participants, the mean FCRI score decreased significantly in the intervention but not in the control group, representing a significant between-group difference. The findings suggest the therapist-guided e-health intervention can significantly reduce fear of cancer recurrence among long-term colorectal cancer survivors.
