Is frequent continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) use associated with hemoglobin A (HbA) across different medications among people with type 2 diabetes? In this cross-sectional study of 9258 adults with type 2 diabetes, patients with the highest CGM frequency (>270 days of sensor use) during the 12 months after acquiring a CGM sensor achieved greater HbA reductions vs no CGM regardless of different medications. This study found that continuous use of CGM (>75% of days) improves glycemic control compared with less frequent or no CGM, suggesting that 6 months post–CGM initiation may be a critical time to focus counseling on continuing CGM use.
