Are there differences in the rate of prostate cancer biochemical recurrence between rural and urban patients? In this cohort study that included 778 patients with prostate cancer, rural patients had significantly higher rates of recurrence at 16.8% compared with urban patients at 8.5%.These findings suggest that there is need for more research to evaluate the causes of this observation and possible interventions to combat this disparity.
