Sunscreen Costs in Association With Sun Protective Behaviors

How does the cost of sunscreen use vary by sunscreen price and other sun protective behaviors?This economic evaluation study found that the price of similar sun protection factor sunscreens can vary by up to 17.5-fold; the annual cost of sunscreen use can vary by 36-fold, ranging from $39.28 to $1429.42, depending on price and other sun protective behaviors.These finding suggest that the cost of sunscreen use can vary significantly depending on unit price and other sun protective behaviors; encouraging the use of lower-priced sunscreens and other sun protective behaviors can bring the cost down, potentially increasing compliance.
