Hidradenitis Suppurativa Patient-Reported Outcome Measures

What are the measurement properties of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS)–specific patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs)?In this systematic review and meta-analysis of 26 studies, 15 HS-specific PROMs were identified. Seven PROMs met Consensus-Based Standards for the Selection of Health Measurement Instruments (COSMIN) standards, demonstrating sufficient content validity and internal consistency.Results of this systematic review and meta-analysis suggest that 7 PROMs met COSMIN criteria for recommendation; further psychometric validation is warranted to inform recommendations for their clinical and research use.
