Are progression and remission rates of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) the same in community as in hospital settings? This prospective cohort study including 107 participants found that the rate of progression to severe HS was 10.4 times lower and full remission rates were 3.8 times higher in the community compared with the hospital setting. These finding suggest that hospital-based data may not accurately reflect HS outcomes among patients in nonclinical settings.
