Transcutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation Treatment for Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea

What is the efficacy profile of transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) for patients with erythematotelangiectatic rosacea (ETR)?In this single-center, randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled device clinical trial of 72 patients with ETR, taVNS achieved clinically significant improvements of facial erythema, flushing, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, migraine, and fatigue for patients with ETR compared with a sham stimulation.The results of this randomized clinical trial support taVNS being an efficacious novel treatment for treating ETR.
