What barriers and facilitators influence timely diagnosis and treatment of melanoma in Latino individuals?In this qualitative study of 20 Latino patients, key barriers included low awareness of melanoma and health insurance creating delays in referral and receipt of care. Facilitators included patient self-advocacy and linguistically appropriate health care.This study reveals multiple modifiable factors affecting timely melanoma diagnosis and treatment in Latino patients.
