Are specific clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) driver gene subtypes associated with incident heart failure, and do CHIP-associated comorbidities mediate this association? In this cohort study of 417 616 UK Biobank participants, was weakly associated with incident heart failure, whereas non- was more strongly associated with incident heart failure.Study results suggest that CHIP, especially non- CHIP, was an independent risk factor for the development of heart failure and may be a novel target for heart failure prevention and treatment.
