Real-World Outcomes of Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Replacement

In early US real-world registry experience, what are the effectiveness, safety, and patient-reported outcomes of transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR)?Among 1034 patients undergoing TTVR across 82 centers, a valve was successfully implanted in 98.4%, and residual mild or less tricuspid regurgitation was achieved in 97.7% of patients at 30 days. At 30 days, all-cause death was 3.1%; stroke, 0.2%; bleeding, 7.9%; and need for a new cardiovascular implantable electronic device among patients without a preexisting device was 15.9%.In the first year after approval in the US, patients undergoing TTVR experienced acceptable early safety, near elimination of tricuspid regurgitation, and significant symptomatic and health status improvements.
