Alcohol-Related Liver Disease

People with chronic daily heavy alcohol consumption should be assessed for ALD with noninvasive testing. The primary treatment goal is alcohol cessation. Patients with severe alcohol-associated hepatitis or decompensated cirrhosis should be considered for liver transplant.
