What is the accuracy of artificial intelligence (AI) smart eyeglasses in identification and description of single and multiple objects?In this case series pilot feasibility study, the smart eyeglasses identified common objects with accuracy but were less accurate in color discrimination, object directionality, and object counting. For reading, they had the highest accuracy with children’s books and less accuracy with standard text and handwriting; in individual money identification, they were accurate with paper money but not with coins.AI eyeglasses may be feasible for patients with low to no vision, but currently there are potential limitations to their use.
