Is iridotrabecular contact (ITC) on anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) images associated with 72-month progression from primary angle closure suspect (PACS) to primary angle closure (PAC)?In this cohort study including 825 untreated PACS eyes from 825 participants in the Zhongshan Angle Closure Prevention Trial, retrospective analysis showed that nasal ITC presence was associated with higher risk of progression over 72 months. Longer nasal or superior ITC was associated with higher risk of progression to PAC.These results suggest that qualitative assessment of ITC on AS-OCT is a practical method complementing gonioscopy for identifying high-risk PACS eyes.
