What is the treatment outcome of compounded imiquimod 5% ointment for diffuse conjunctival melanoma in situ (MIS) or ocular surface squamous neoplasia (OSSN)?In this case series review of 5 adults, 3 achieved complete response and 2 achieved partial response after 12 weeks of treatment with compounded imiquimod 5% in ophthalmic petrolatum-based ointment without safety events of concern identified.Although definitive safety and efficacy cannot be determined across only 5 cases, results of this case series suggest that imiquimod 5% ointment may be a safe and effective approach to manage diffuse conjunctival MIS or OSSN.
