Can p-tau217 accurately identify older adults without cognitive impairment who have high levels of cortical amyloid burden? The meta-analysis indicated a large effect size for mean differences in p-tau217 when comparing individuals without cognitive impairment who had either high or low amyloid burden and demonstrated high discriminative accuracy between these groups.Plasma measures of p-tau217 can accurately identify individuals in the preclinical stage of Alzheimer disease where interventions are likely to have the most benefit in delaying or stopping disease progression.
