Harnessing Longitudinal Health Data for Aging Populations

What are the challenges and strategies for establishing longitudinal aging data in East and Southeast Asia?This qualitative study of 33 stakeholders across 13 regions identified 4 key challenges to establishing longitudinal aging datasets: structural barriers like funding and personnel shortages, local adaptation of research instruments, long-term sustainability, and constraints in data governance.These findings suggest that building robust data ecosystems requires context-specific strategies, multidisciplinary collaboration, and improved data harmonization.
