Clinical Digital Health Engagement and Psychological Distress Among Adults

Is digital health engagement within clinical care systems associated with psychological distress among US adults?In this cross-sectional study of 23 682 US adults from the nationally representative Health Information National Trends Survey, higher digital health engagement within clinical care systems was associated with higher psychological distress.These findings suggest digital health engagement may function as a behavioral indicator of psychological distress rather than solely reflecting patient activation or engagement in care.
