Is at-home transvaginal pelvic ultrasonography a safe and accurate imaging modality in a general population of premenopausal women? In this nonrandomized clinical trial enrolling 263 participants from across the US, at-home ultrasonography images met clinical standards for interpretation in 96.2% of studies and were strongly preferred by participants compared with in-clinic imaging (net promoter score 59 vs 24, respectively), with no adverse events reported. These results suggest that at-home pelvic ultrasonography is not only safe and clinically accurate but is also preferred by participants compared with in-clinic ultrasonography.
