Consensus Statement on Pediatric Disaster Medicine Research Priorities

What are the current research areas in pediatric disaster medicine that researchers, policymakers, and funders need to prioritize?This consensus statement describes a research agenda developed using a 3-stage modified Delphi process informed by a comprehensive scoping review of pediatric disaster medicine literature and incorporating input from 48 multidisciplinary experts across diverse institutions and geographic regions. This process identified 6 high-consensus, high-priority research subtopics that address multiple phases of the pediatric disaster cycle.These consensus-derived subtopics can help guide investigators and funders in conducting evidence-based research to improve pediatric disaster medicine outcomes and care.
