Cost-Effectiveness of MASH Diagnosis and Management Approaches Among Those With Type 2 Diabetes

What are the most cost-effective management approaches for detecting, preventing, and treating metabolic dysfunction–associated steatohepatitis and liver fibrosis among people living with type 2 diabetes (T2D) in 12 countries?This economic evaluation found that the standard of care had the lowest average cost-effectiveness ratios in 8 countries; intensive lifestyle interventions (ILIs) after screening were cost-effective in all countries; and ILIs and semaglutide or resmetirom therapy were cost-effective in 11 and 7 countries, respectively.In this study, most proposed management approaches among people living with T2D were cost-effective in most countries.
