Compared with standard-of-care (SOC) oral iron, does intravenous ferric carboxymaltose (FCM) treatment for pregnant women with anemia enhance postnatal child growth?In this secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial with 738 infants in southern Malawi, there was no evidence of a difference in infants’ length for age, weight for age, or weight for length between the 2 groups.Compared with SOC, FCM treatment was not associated with substantial benefits on infant growth in southern Malawi.
