What were the trends in the use of and Medicare Part D payments for disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) for immune-mediated neurologic diseases from 2013 to 2022?In this economic analysis of 63 unique drugs used for DMTs, those for immune-mediated neurologic diseases accounted for a 3.8% increase in total Medicare Part D claims; however, total payments for these therapies rose disproportionately by 70.3%, with expenditures significantly exceeding estimated medical care and prescription drug inflation adjustments.Although DMT use for immune-mediated neurologic diseases has remained stable, associated costs have increased substantially beyond inflation, suggesting other contributors to rising expenditures.
