Are different glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists associated with differences in kidney and cardiovascular outcomes among patients with type 2 diabetes? In this comparative effectiveness study of 21 790 veterans with type 2 diabetes and without end-stage kidney disease, kidney and cardiovascular outcomes were similar among liraglutide, semaglutide, and dulaglutide initiators. These findings highlight the need for head-to-head randomized clinical trials to definitively establish potential differences among glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists.
