What are the barriers to breast and cervical cancer screening among displaced Lebanese women in Syria? In this cross-sectional study of 378 women, the majority of participants lacked awareness of breast and cervical cancer symptoms and signs, with low numbers ever having undergone screening. Higher educational attainment was associated with improved cancer knowledge and screening rates. These findings suggest that targeted interventions are urgently needed to overcome cancer screening barriers in humanitarian crisis settings.
