Are antiseizure medications (ASMs) associated with a reduced risk of epilepsy in brain abscess survivors at 90, 135, and 180 days of follow-up?In this cohort study of 572 patients with a brain abscess, there were no statistically significant differences in the probabilities of epilepsy occurrence at 90, 135, and 180 days after initiation of ASMs.The findings suggest that the initiation of ASMs was not associated with reduced epilepsy risk in patients with brain abscess.
