Nudges to Clinicians and Patients for Influenza Vaccines During Visits

Can previsit text messaging to patients, peer comparison feedback to clinicians, and an automatic pended order increase influenza vaccination during primary care visits?In this randomized clinical trial of 80 039 patients across 48 clinics, the multicomponent nudge to clinicians and patients resulted in a 5.1–percentage point increase in vaccine completion.The nudges to clinicians and patients resulted in substantially greater influenza vaccine completion.
