Cutaneous Eruptions and Lifileucel/Interleukin 2 in Individuals With Metastatic Melanoma

What are the clinical, histopathologic, and prognostic features of cutaneous eruptions temporally associated with lifileucel treatment of advanced/metastatic melanoma?In a retrospective cohort of 44 individuals with advanced/metastatic melanoma treated with cyclophosphamide/fludarabine lymphodepleting chemotherapy, lifileucel, and up to 6 toxicity-limited doses of interleukin 2, half of all patients developed an associated cutaneous toxic effect; available clinical photographs demonstrated central-predominant purpuric morbilliform eruptions. Development of a lifileucel-associated cutaneous toxic effect was associated with likelihood of radiographic response 42 days after lifileucel, adjusted for demographic and melanoma-specific factors.Lifileucel treatment is frequently complicated by purpuric morbilliform eruptions, which may be prognostically favorable and may predict short-term response.
