Vixarelimab in Patients With Prurigo Nodularis

What were the long-term efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic profiles of monthly dosed vixarelimab in participants with prurigo nodularis?In this randomized clinical trial including 181 participants, vixarelimab demonstrated a significant reduction from baseline in Worst Itch Numeric Rating Scale at week 16 compared with placebo at all monthly dose levels (vixarelimab at high-dose, mid-dose, and low-dose levels: −56.2%, −51.0%, and −33.0%, respectively; placebo, −14.5%). No fatal or serious drug-related treatment-emergent adverse events were reported.Vixarelimab demonstrated a rapid clinical benefit that was sustained throughout the 16-week monthly dosed double-blind period and 36-week biweekly dosed open-label extension period, demonstrating a favorable benefit-risk profile.
