Does a Mediterranean diet intervention improve psoriasis severity in patients with mild to moderate disease? In this randomized clinical trial of 38 adults with mild to moderate psoriasis, a 16-week intensive Mediterranean diet intervention led to a significant reduction in the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index compared with a control group receiving low-fat dietary advice. These findings suggest that a Mediterranean diet may be an effective adjunctive therapeutic strategy to improve skin outcomes in patients with mild to moderate psoriasis.
