Time to Quadruple Therapy After Initial Diagnosis of Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction

What are contemporary patterns and factors associated with time to quadruple therapy (TTQ) among veterans with newly diagnosed heart failure with reduced ejection fraction?In this cohort study including 52 850 patients, fewer than one-quarter of veterans achieved quadruple therapy over 2.9 years (median time 6 months), and those without prescription copays reached therapy sooner.Results suggest that reducing medication copays and developing strategies to shorten TTQ could improve equitable and timely use of life-saving heart failure therapies.
