Pragmatic Parental Support to Mitigate Burnout Among Pregnant and Postpartum Trainees

What is the efficacy of a multicomponent parental support package targeting perinatal stressors on improving well-being among pregnant and postpartum physicians in training?In this randomized clinical trial of 143 childbearing physicians in training, from enrollment during pregnancy to 24 weeks post partum, mean burnout scores increased from 3.13 to 3.79 in the usual support group and from 2.96 to 3.03 in the parental support package group, indicating a greater increase with usual support.A parental support package significantly mitigated postpartum burnout among childbearing physicians in training.
