Multidisciplinary Consensus Statement for Appropriate Evaluation and Workup of Sinonasal Masses

What aspects in the evaluation and workup of sinonasal masses are common pitfalls and areas of mismanagement that can be improved by expert consensus recommendations?In this modified Delphi expert consensus study involving 25 multidisciplinary experts, 22 statements were developed and reached expert consensus, while 1 statement was close but did not ultimately achieve consensus. These statements can be grouped into subcategories, including initial evaluation, biopsy approach, imaging, pathologic assessment, and multidisciplinary coordination and treatment planning.Expert consensus statements developed through a modified Delphi approach can help to guide physicians and medical practitioners in adopting approaches to avoid common pitfalls, optimize management practices, and ultimately improve patient outcomes in patients with sinonasal masses.
