Durvalumab Plus Chemotherapy for Advanced Biliary Tract Cancer

After more than 4 years of follow-up, what are the efficacy and safety outcomes for participants with advanced biliary tract cancer treated with immunotherapy plus chemotherapy?In this post hoc analysis of the phase 3 TOPAZ-1 randomized clinical trial including 685 participants with advanced biliary tract cancer, when compared with placebo plus gemcitabine and cisplatin, durvalumab plus gemcitabine and cisplatin continued to demonstrate long-term survival benefit and a consistent safety profile after 4 years of follow-up.These findings continue to support durvalumab plus gemcitabine and cisplatin as a first-line treatment option for participants with advanced biliary tract cancer.
