HRS-7535 for Type 2 Diabetes Inadequately Controlled With Metformin

In adults with type 2 diabetes inadequately controlled with metformin, does once-daily oral HRS-7535 improve glycemic control compared with placebo?In this randomized clinical trial of 194 adults in China with type 2 diabetes receiving stable metformin, all HRS-7535 doses (15-90 mg once daily) reduced hemoglobin A levels compared with placebo during a period of 16 weeks; placebo-adjusted differences ranged from −0.94% to −1.57%.In this study, oral HRS-7535 added to metformin improved glycemic control and was generally well tolerated, supporting further phase 3 development.
