Online vs In-Person Care for Atopic Dermatitis

In adults and children with atopic dermatitis (AD), does an online, team-based connected health model provide equivalent improvements as in-person care?In this randomized clinical trial of 300 children and adults with AD, patients using the online model achieved equivalent improvements in signs and symptoms of AD compared to those receiving in-person care.An online, team-based connected health model may serve as an effective and scalable alternative to in-person care for pediatric and adult patients with AD, expanding access while maintaining equivalent clinical outcomes.
